I am so excited to finally share my lifetime experience. I was born with epilepsy and lived with seizures for 47 years before finally becoming seizure-free. Along the way, I faced challenges I never expected, but I also learned the importance of recognizing the good, being grateful, and continuing to move forward. My hope is that this story connects with others enduring hard times and reminds them that they are not alone.
Throughout this journey, I received help from loved ones, medical professionals, spiritual leaders, and most importantly, God. Looking back, I can see His hand guiding me through experiences that helped shape who I am today. One lesson that has become especially important to me is learning to give myself grace. That is often easier said than done, but it has been and still is one of the most rewarding lessons of my life.
A Miracle in Motion is a memoir that follows my journey from living with seizures to reaching a point where I felt I had few options left. Through faith, persistence, and the support of those around me, doors began to open that I never expected.
Becoming seizure-free was life-changing, but it was not the end of the journey. Healing has required time physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There have been frustrations and difficult days, but there has also been a deeper appreciation for life, family, faith, and the opportunities in front of me.
While writing, I began to notice things differently. The positivity continued to deepen. Hugs came more naturally. Helping others became more important. I found myself growing in ways I never expected. During this time, I also felt inspired to create the "Give Yourself Grace" coin. I now carry this coin wherever I go, reminding me to give myself grace and remember that I am not alone.
Giving hope and motivation through love — this is my goal.
